Help with a movie

So I think it is an 80's movie and its been killing me for years that I cant figure out what it is. All I can remember from it was that there was a monster or something in a lake and a kid was investigating it or something, and something about a windmill, the windmill was creepy and going past it was bad or going in it, im not exactly sure, i seem to remember a picture of a kid with a gun on the cover. It was a LONG time ago since i saw it. I know it isnt Zombie Lake but im not sure what the heck it is, please help

YES that is it, i KNEW it was the quest but when i looked it up under that i could not get it, thanks for the help
