Breaking News: NBC journalist and host of Meet the Press Tim Russert died suddenly today of a heart attack. He was only 58.

Oh no, that's HORRIBLE.  Russert is one of my favorites (though I don't watch much TV news anymore).

Wow.

RIP, Tim.  Keep asking the tough questions.  We'll miss you.

That really stinks.  He was one of the better and more fair-minded journalists out there.  Rest in peace, Tim, and may you and Big Russ have some good fishing in the afterlife.

That is sad I heard that shortly after it happen while out working, what was really, really odd was on the radio station I heard news had there longest on air political reporter (Kent King age 51) die about the same time of a heart attack also. The breaking news for both came at the same time. it was rather shocking, I had respect for both of them.

I always liked Russert, he was one of the more fair journalist out there. He was well rooted and never forgot where he came from, he I felt was one if the few real people in a elitist industry.
