Way off topic, but I had no idea you were a Civ player, Cheeze.  I love it; it's the only computer game I play.

The spoiler tag would be an excellent addition if possible, especially considering that this is a movie forum.  I actually don't open threads of movies I have yet to see for fear of spoilerage.

I'm full of surprises, been a player since Civ I I have them all.

1. BEN HUR
 2. OLIVER!
 3. PLANET OF THE APES
 4. ZELIG
 5. EL CID
 6. ALIEN
 7. WILLIE WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
 8. WEST SIDE STORY
 9. ON THE WATERFRONT
10. THREE KINGS
11. BLACK NARCISSUS
12. GANGS OF NEW YORK
13. THE BIRDS
14. (Seen it can think of the title - think it was a Jouquin Phoenix film)
15. SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER
16. WHITE ZOMBIE
17. EASY RIDER
18. CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND
19. FARGO
20. THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD
21. COPLAND?
22. DAWN OF THE DEAD
23. A DAY AT THE RACES
24. GLADIATOR
25. BILLY JACK
26. THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (Lon Chaney Sr. 1925)
27. NAPOLEON DYNAMITE
28. BADLANDS
29. GOLDFINGER
30. BRIDGE OVER THE RIVER KWAI
31. THE LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU

Yeh, but I figured you would know which MARX BROS. movie that was and I was clearly wrong with my COPLAND guess.

I know the scene I can't remember of it's Day at the Races or Duck Soup, I think it's the latter.

To the party of the first part, the party of the second part, hereby ... etc etc. Great bit.

EDIT: It's Duck Soup, Day at the Races had the Ice Cream bit where Chico sold betting guides, and guide decoders, and decoders-decoders ... get you ice cream, your tutti frutti ice cream.

95% certain #23 is the contract scene from A NIGHT AT THE OPERA.

Yep, NIGHT AT THE OPERA.  Thumbup Thumbup

Looks like everyone is having trouble with 5 and 23.   Smile
5 is not EL CID, eh?
The battle is from Russia instead of Spain.
CHEEZEE, according to CONAN (Scott) it's A NIGHT AT THE OPERA...

Likely they're right ... I have all the Marx Brothers movies, there all great and it's easy for me to get the scenes mixed up.

It wouldn't be hard to mix these films up. It is the contract scene, but from NIGHT AT THE OPERA.  Smile

That's tutsi-fruitsi ice cream.  TeddyR

"Getta you ice cream! Tutsi-fruitsi ice cream!"

The scene from A DAY AT THE RACES that always cracks me up is when Harpo is trying to tell Chico that Groucho is in the clutches of a vamp.

That's right ... tutsi-truitsi!

I'm assuming you're talking about Harpo pantomiming since he doesn't speak in movies.

I need to re-watch those I haven't seen them in quite a while. Normally in the winter and work slows down I'll pile up and watch them all day, along with Abbott and Costello.

I'd be hard pressed to say which Marx Bros vaudeville style comedy bit is the best one.
