Either he's dead or my watch has stopped!

What 10 films are ENDLESSLY WATCHABLE??  What movies do you always look at...?  Y'know how it is when you're flipping channels and THE GODFATHER is on (and kee-riest who hasn't seen that thing 50 times?)  Still, you end up watching it...?  I chose GODFATHER (take yer picka parts) for obvious reasons... but there's a number of films that I am always glad to sit through.  These are not necessarily my favorite films, but the list of 10 below are movies that I find "endlessly watchable" and always look at if one happens to be on and I have the time.
 1. PATTON
 2. ALL ABOUT EVE
 3. LAWRENCE OF ARABIA
 4. THE THREE MUSKETEERS
 5. SINCE YOU WENT AWAY
 6. KILL BILL VOL 2
 7. THE WIZARD OF OZ
 8. YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU
 9. THE BEST YEARS OF OUR LIVES
10. VERTIGO

Here's my 10, what would your 10 films be?

NIGHT OF THE HUNTER
WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
THE WIZARD OF OZ
YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN
THE LONGEST YARD
THE GODFATHER
PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE

I recall the days not too long ago when Fright Night was always on SciFi and Puppet Master was always on AMC, and yes, I would always watch them no matter if something else/better was on. TeddyR

Ghostbusters
Reservoir Dogs
Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Airplane!
The Naked Gun 1 & 2

Lagomorphs: menace or underutilized resource?

The Wizard of Oz
The Fifth Element
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Forbidden Zone
Singin' in the Rain
The Music Man
Josie and the p***ycats
Time Bandits
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen
Young Frankenstein

Star Wars ep. IV could also be on the list, but I endlessly watched that as a teenager, and while I still enjoy it, there are other movies that catch me now.

Wanting to avoid picking films I really like and would like to see again, I need to think about endlessly watchable, but I'm inclined to cherry-pick another list from the responses just for fun:
AMADEUS
NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
NIGHT OF THE HUNTER
YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN
2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY
TAXI DRIVER
12 ANGRY MEN
PAPILLON
BONNIE AND CLYDE
RESERVOIR DOGS

I don't find KILL BILL VOL 1 nearly as watchable as VOL 2, but I enjoy both movies...

Y'know how it is when you're flipping channels and THE GODFATHER is on (and kee-riest who hasn't seen that thing 50 times?)

Don't let it become a habit...  Parts 1 and 2 are endlessly watchable.  Just the thought of GODFATHER waiting to be discovered... you have a big hole in your movie education...  TeddyR  You won't be sorry to make the effort to see these two films.  Nobody doesn't like GODFATHER

Peter Griffin would disagree.

As for my list, there are too many but those that come to mind are

All the Austin Powers movies.
The Godfather
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Gladiator
Shaun of the Dead
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Species
The Wizard of Oz
Slapshot
The Naked Gun
Airplane!

There are many more but I can't think of them right now.

Some excellent choices, the ones I quote are films that glue me to the tube.

I'll have to agree with many of the titles already mentioned:

Lawrence Of Arabia
Dr. Strangelove
The Wizard Of Oz
Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory (original)
Slapshot
Airplane
Ghostbusters
Young Frankenstien
The Longest Yard

Hear are some that I'd like to add that I find myself stopping a watching when I find them on TV:

The Magnificient Seven
West Side Story
Return Of The Living Dead
The Blues Brothers
Emperor Of The North
Pork Chop Hill
Patton
Battle Of The Bulge

These are some interesting entries that I didn't expect:

The Adventures of Baron Munchausen - I have to agree that I like this film very much
The Princess Bride - Not sure why, but I couldn't get into it. I must view this one again to give it a fair chance.

I totally agree.  I've probably seen THE GODFATHER 100 times and Part II about 50 times.  I saw THE GODFATHER at the drive-in during its original theatrical run.  When Parts I and II were on HBO or Showtime or one of those channels many years ago, I watched them 3 or 4 times a week.  Prior to that, I watched them every year when they were on commercial TV.  When I got my first (Beta) video recorder, I rented both movies several times.  Then I bought a CED Video Disc player, purchased both movies, and nearly wore out the discs watching them.  Then I bought all 3 movies on VHS.  Now I have all 3 on DVD.  I am 44 years old and I saw Part I for the first time when I was 8 years old.  That's 36 years of watching it, and I'd say an average of 3 times per year is a very reasonable and accurate estimate.  This is ESSENTIAL viewing and one of the few movies that is far superior to the book.
