This compilation contains more than forty trailers, with a focus on lurid and sexual 60's and 70's exploitation films.  Watching trailer collections is great just for some of the awesome titles, like "The Bullet Machine."  Who doesn't want to watch "The Bullet Machine?"

Volume 2 is more evenly balanced than Volume 1.

I've one of these type of sampler/trailer DVD's by Something Weird called The Extra Weird Sampler that I bought at Best Buy one day for only 3.99.

It's got a little over 4 hours of stuff on it and much like the one reviewed here focuses on 60's nudies and 70's sexploitation flicks.

Usually in most cases the trailers are 100 times more entertaining than the actual films themselves.

Pretty funny stuff though.  I'll have to check this 42nd Street Forever, Vol. 1 at some point.

I'm now on a hunt to find a copy of The Bullet Machine, because as you said, who doesn't want to watch a movie called "The Bullet Machine"? Even better? According to IMDB an alternate title for it is Harry and the Hookers. I'd take either title if anybody knows where I can find it! TeddyR

At

brainsonfilm.com

they have a review of The Pink Angels.

I thought I'd see the 3 (?) Ginger movies reviewed there too, but I don't see them now. It's a good bad movie site, BTW.

I used to rent a trailer compilation VHS called "The Best of Sex and Violence!" from my local Hastings all the time when I was a kid.  It is another great trailer compilation you should review Andrew.  It was hosted by none other than DAVID CARRADINE... yep!  Bill... and included many favorites like the soft porn version of Cinderella (which, BTW was the inspiration from the hard rockin' 80's hair band).  It also introduced me to the wonder that is Dolemite.

This review reminds me of that.... looks interesting.  Think I'll check it out.  Thanks and love your site.

My favorite badmovie of all time?  Hawk the Slayer!

My bad... it wasnt hosted by mr. KUNG FU himself, but rather by his dad... I believe his name is Keith Carradine.  I do know that if you can stand to watch to the end, though, you will see David and the other son--the Revenge of the Nerds guy-- show up.

You might be thinking of The Bad Movie Report ( http://www.stomptokyo.com/badmoviereport/ )  Dr. Freex was quite fascinated by the Ginger trilogy. (man I miss that guy, he was my 2nd favorite bad movie reviewer, but at least his old reviews are still there.)

I also miss Dr. Freex's reviews.  He had a knack for making me laugh out loud; it was just the way he approached the films and how they mattered to him.

John Carradine.  His ability to deliver serious sounding technobabble was incredible, but man did he appear in some awful films.  "Billy the Kid vs. Dracula" was just one of the real stinkers.

"The Best of Sex and Violence" was a title I ran across a few months ago, probably around the time I developed a renewed interest in trailer compilations.  I definitely want to see it.  Unfortunately, it does not appear to be available on DVD, so I'm stuck waiting for the next legitimate release.

Something Weird's collection seems to mostly consist of sleazy exploitation films.  Everything is amazingly low budget, and has nudity or depraved sexuality.  Nice snag on the sampler, I had a copy, but it went MIA.  Think that I paid about $20 for mine.  I see it's selling for $5 on Amazon.com now.  Going to have to pick up another copy.

Volume 2 is more evenly balanced than Volume 1.

Still have not seen Vol. 2, but it's on my list.  Vol. 3 also seemed more balanced than this one.  However, the highs of Vol. 3 also seemed less dramatic.  Nothing peaked my interest quite as much as the titles that cropped up on Vol. 1.

I rented this a few months ago. It was great to see the trailer for 1 of my favorite classics - THE GREEN SLIME.

It would be great if a DVD would be released for THE GREEN SLIME.

I LOVE trailer compilations! I have one from SWV called the SUPERHORRORAMASHOCK SHOW which starts out in the 50's and works it's way up to 1980. Great stuff-perfect for laying on the coach and just turning off the brain!  Thumbup
