Thunderball Fists?! I can have such a thing?!

While perusing the web the last few nights, I've discovered two remakes that we may not all be groaning about too much.... keyword is may.

First up, according to Chud.com (and Dread Central), John Carl Buechler is pumping (an alleged) $25 million into doing  a "Troll" remake. And (allegedly again) Lindsay Lohan's kid sister, Ali Lohan, may star in the film. File this under rumor for now, but this would be a remake I could sink my teeth into. I wonder if Claudio Fragasso and Joe D'Amato will remake "Troll 2" to cash in on Buechler's idea.... For more info on this project, check out IMDB's Buechler's News Page.

The second remake is a bit more substantial. Apparently, Larry Cohen (director of "God Told Me To," "Q: The Winged Serpent," and the "It's Alive" trilogy) has penned the script for a remake of "It's Alive." You can check out the IMDB page here.

Saw the trailer to It's Alive and it looks fairly decent (Not as good a trailer as the original Smile ), honestly I think this is one of the few that needs a remake. The original underwhelmed me until around the last half-hour, even though it had a good message it was not nearly as creepy as some said. I say if this one keeps any sort of subtext that the original did it'll be good all around. Also I'm hoping they'll keep the original design of the baby and update the puppet effects, I found the creature in the original to be a bit stiff. Still hoping they don't exclusively go for CG though...
