We're all just victims of circumstance

You know, high voltage has always been on my list of things not mess with.  You know it's bad when they say the tool he was using was possibly vaporized.

Sometimes our best intentions can lead us to do some awfully stupid things.

How does somebody not notice that an 11,000-volt transformer is live. The humming should be a clue.

I remember quite a few years ago, my best friend's dad, who was an electrician, drilled through a steel post and into a 600-volt line on the other side. Melted his drill, blew his hat off, blackened his face and singed off his eyebrows and the front half of his hair. My buddy worked for the same company at the time, and he arrived to find the hat, the drill and the burnt hole. Scared the crap out of him until his dad walked up looking like Al Jolson. It was a flash burn and not too deep, but holy smokes was he lucky.

My dad's friend lost his arm due to electricity at high voltage; to this day he's the only one-armed lumberjack that i know... Smile
