Hello,

It was on Sci-Fi and judging from the poor production quality, I am going to assume that it was an original.  At any rate, the characters are on a bayou and a huge catfish keeps killing them.  it sometimes jumps up onto the deck and other times just breaks though the submerged part and eats people.  What was this movie called.  I thought they named it Catfish Hunter, but that was not it.

Thanks

Yep that was it!
And do catfish have scales????  They have a huge scale in the movie that is supposed to show you how large this thing is.  I am almost certain that they do not.

Thanks

My first thought was Snakehead Terror; but you said it was on a bayou, so it must be Frankenfish; I love it when the hippie gets his head bit off...

I like when the leg gets bitten off... I think that it is the same movie there.
