This is working for me:

Small | Large

If you go back and try to watch the video on YouTube, what do you see?  Could the video have been pulled?  What is the video you are trying to embed?  (The URL to it.)

Go back to the Youtube page that had the video you wanted to post.
Where the linking codes are you should see: "Embedding disabled by request".

Even if the URL code is shown and the Embed code is not, you still can't usually post it.

It seems that all the video's now say "no longer available", but now they show you a dimmed version. Something Youtube is doing I suppose.

Funny, Susan reported the same issue in IE, but it works fine for me.  Maybe it was a temporary issue with YouTube?

I am not seeing this behavior, checking from two computers on two networks, with both Internet Explorer and Firefox.  Has it resolved?  If not, I suspect something else is going on that might be tied to either YouTube or the ISP you are using.

Well that's odd, it's gone now, running perfect.

It may have been a temporary issue with some users, perhaps it had to do with the IE version we are using. I searhced the net and it's not the first time i've seen this. Sometimes it's related to google accelerator but some users are having it happen "out of the blue" for no reason. Mine fixed itself out of the blue, and it was occuring all over the net, not just on this site. I saw a dimmed screen and could slightly see the video and definately hear it but got the 'error' and it was so frustrating because i tried EVERYTHING. Defrag, cleaning cookies, temp files/cache, making sure i had no spyware..my god i broke my brain for an answer.

Then i thought maybe it's an issue with IE, altho some sites i saw firefox users had issues. I tried using firefox and i had no issues - only with IE. So now i'm certain it's youtube.
