We are going to be moving in a few months into a situation where we will have Internet access but no TV/DVD player.  No problem for DVD's..watch them on the laptop, but what about the occasional desire for TV?

I do watch some stuff on computer with various streaming sites, like hulu.com.  Only have had a response problem once.

I've been looking into satellite tv software that lets one access satellite programming over the 'net.  I prefer a Linux solution, and ran across this site:

Satellite TV with Linux

I don't know about your site, but I went to something called orderfreetv.com ... I paid 50 bucks for it and it sucks. Most of the "movie" channels have the same damn thing (or two) over and over and over and over and over again.
Half the links don't work ... just a bunch of bulls**t. I would advise against it if you can.
If you want to watch some bad old sci fi (that's why we're here isn't it?) you can go to americafreetv.com and watch for free.
