Here's another interesting one from our own paper. A former entertainer set out to renovate his house, but has so far only cut out vital pieces with a chainsaw, including beams, trusses, walls, windows and so forth. His neighbours are terribly worried about him, which he thinks is just lovely. The building department finally came and boarded the place up, which led him to set the garage on fire trying to build a campfire out of scrap wood. Last I heard, he was in the hospital, awaiting a psych assessment. The house, meanwhile, is most likely beyond saving.
