23. Bela's only other screen vampire Armand Tesla in RETURN OF THE VAMPIRE

Small | Large

He's also got a loquacious werewolf assistant named 'Andreas'.

Since this was made by Columbia a very similar werewolf makeup turned up on 'Lupe the Wolf Man' in the Three Stooges short IDLE ROOMERS.

My apologies.  We need a master list (criswell?)

Let me substitute 25. Nosferatu (Klaus Kinski's 1979 interpretation from NOSFERATU THE VAMPYRE)

Udo Kier! I like the portrayal of a vampire who's weak from lack of virgin blood, he even needs to dye his hair black!

I'd like to nominate Mathilda May's Space Vampire, uhm, "Queen" (?) . . . Assuming she hasn't been nominated already.

Sorry for not posting any pics to show you why her vampire is so, uhm, awesome but Andrew may go apoplectic, this being a family site and all.  Smile

29. QUEEN OF BLOOD (1966)

During the 60's A.I.P. imported several foreign space epics, mostly Italian and Russian movies, and added new footage with future and past American stars. Most of these films were as exciting as watching paint dry. Oil paint.

QUEEN OF BLOOD is an exception. It's really a frightening and creepy movie featuring an female alien vampire who lays big goopy eggs all over the Earth spaceship! Florence Marley played the blood-sucking ET.

Also Starring: Basil Rathbone, Dennis Hopper, John Saxon, and Forrest J. Ackerman.

30. Nancy the Teenage Vampire, from BLOOD of DRACULA (1957)

Much like AIP's other teen age monster films...should have been called I WAS a TEENAGE VAMPIRE.
Nancy looks very much like the daughter of Max Shreck, with pointy bat ears and long front teeth.

Kind of a were-vampire...as she only turns when hypnotized by an amulut from Carpathia which contains the blood of Dracula (hence the title).
