What is your favourite example of a scientific, futuristic or otherwise outer spacey name?

My favourite has to be the radiation neutralizing machine from Star Blazers, called the "Cosmo DNA." Some writer took a scientific sounding term that is completely inappropriate, then tacked on "cosmo" to make it sound outer spacey. Wonderful.

Battlestar Galactica was good for misusing words. Remember when the Cylons were a few "microns" from the ship? That sounds pretty close, if you ask me.

Gotta love the simple practice of adding space to an ordinary word, to come up with something like the "space burgers" on Battle of the Planets. Rocket Robin Hood was also good for that, robbing from the "cosmic rich" and giving to the "astro poor."

Star Trek camouflages the same trick by adding alien names. Thus, we have "Saurian brandy" or "Rigellian bat."

Anyway, what are your favourite examples?

How about Luke Skywalker going to the Toshi (sp?) Station with his friends to pick up some power converters?  Sounds like a great time, right?  It might have been, til Uncle Owen told him he could waste time with hsi friends later.

Space Pirates makes me snicker. I've allways thought that was great. I mean come on you don't call Long John Silver a Sea Pirate do you, so why call them Space Pirates? Although there is Video Piracey, but that's an isolated case. Is this making any since?

How about complete nonsense, like when the "duo-tangents" in Xtro 2 were converging? As Joe Bob Briggs asked, What the heck's a "duo-tangent"?
