A Movie That Starts Lived Acted But Turns into Animated?

I was recently about a couple of films I saw when I was younger and was trying to figure out what they were just by vague clues.  Thanks for this website during one of the reviews I read, I found out one of the films I been thinking about was Troll 2.  While thinking of another one, I remembered one of the actors had John Candy and I was able to figure out another movie was called Nothing But Trouble.  However, this film has kept me in the dark for a very long time and it just drives me crazy about what the heck it was.  I only saw it once, but I want to know what it is!

Here is everything I can recall about the film from vague memories:
+ It had a young boy who was turned into a mouse or some other kind of small animal while he was in his room.
+ The movie starts and ends with live actors, but for most of the film, it is completely animated.
+From what I remember, the villain of the film was some kind of bird, possible an owl, which I think also turned the kid into an animal as well.
+ One of the heroes or main hero besides the kid was also some kind of bird as well.
+ The last bit of information I can come up with is that the kid returns to normal in the end, looks out of his bedroom window, and yells something out to some person.

That's all I can come up with.  I just want to know what the title is and finally put an end to this case that's been bugging me for years.
