While in grade school and sometimes jr high, while being home because I was too"sick" to go to school I watched a lot of PBS.
One of the shows that I remember had a detective that for some reason always had to wear a kangaroo costume.I think it was teach kids about math. What is it called?

I'm tempted to say the character was Fargo North from The Electric Company, however, I also remember a lot of locally produced educational kids' shows on various PBS affillites.

There was a math program called "Square One", could that have been it? Other than the math focus, I don't remember anything about that program.

I really liked "Electric Company", I'm sorry that didn't last. I'm not sure anything really took its niche as a reading-teaching program for kids who have graduated Sesame Street. And I thought the skits were very clever. I remember many of them.
