So, I remember months ago I was listening to Mancow's Morning Madhouse (a morning radioshow they used to carry here), and among the other guests, they had this lady on who claims that she goes to bars where various famous sports stars hang out, starts talking to them, being friendly, having drinks with them etc, and, basically she either sleeps (or, some cases where the guy passed out) pretends to sleep with them.  Then, she calls them weeks or months later and tells them she's pregnant, and asks for money to get an abortion.

She was proud of herself, bragging about how her escapades have gotten her money, jewelry, all kinds of expensive gifts, etc.  She said that when a man refused to pay, she would threaten to tell their wife, their coach, their agent, and so on, and the guy would usually give in to her demands.

What's interesting was the reaction of the crew to this story.  Mancow and the other guys seemed to believe that what she was doing was a terrible thing, that she was a whore, taking advantage of lonely guys who were away from home and extorting them for money and so on.  On the other hand, Melissa (the female on the show) thought that the girl's behavior was BRILLIANT, and she praised the lady for her genius.

Mancow predicted that if they were to take a phone poll about this woman's activities, the opinions would probably be split among gender lines, with guys thinking it was horrible, and all the girls thinking it was great.

The woman justified her behavior by saying she was teaching the men a lesson, that is, among other things, not to be cheating on their wives.  (Granted, I don't know for certain she restricted her extortionist activities to married men, seems to me a lady like that wouldn't be particularly selective so long as the man had evidence of wealth.)  One the men on the show, think it was DJ Lovecheese (I just report the news, I don't make it up) said, "Yeah, well, what are you teaching other girls then?  To be whores and sluts and to lie and cheat for money?"  The woman is like, "No, I'm teaching one way they can get ahead in this world."  Or something like that, I can't remember her exact response.

Mancow asked her if she ever had any men who flat out refused to pay.  She said no, but that she did have one guy who begged her not to get an abortion.

Anyway, I'm not sure how that situation was resolved, as I had to get out of the car and go to work.  (I still working for Toys R Us at the time.)

I do remember Mancow also asked if any of the men had ever threatened her after she tried to blackmail them, and she said that none had.  "So far," Mancow added.

My thought: Okay, I'm not saying it's right for guys to be cheating on their wives (even if they have an "arrangement" with their spouses, I'm still not liking the idea) BUT, I have to go with the view that this lady is a lying manipulative b***h, and if she were to get hurt or killed because of what's she doing, I wouldn't feel sorry for her.  (Not saying murder's right mind you, just saying if it happened, I wouldn't care.)

I've had my own experiences with con men, long story short, I worked for a carpet installer for nearly a month and, during that time, the bastard only paid me $100.  My parents and I had just moved into this area (I had moved back in with my parents about a year ago), and I was desperate for a job, and he kept dangling that carrot in front of my face, all the while my parents where like, "Do a good job, he says he'll pay you more the better get!  This may lead to something!"  Then I find out I'm not the first person he pulled this trick on, nor was I last apparently, this guy's boss had taken a call from someone else who was working with this guy wanting to know if it was true he only got paid once a month (apparently that the latest lie he fed his newest "helper" to stall on giving him any money.)

I still get angry about that situation today, and it's left with me with utter CONTEMPT for those who make their living by lying, cheating, stealing, and conning people.  Everyone from the "Will Work For Food" people who are too damn lazy to actually work, to the internet "Work At Home" scammers, to the ministers who "heal" people on TV, knowing damn well they have no such ability, to the corporate scumbags who encouraged everyone to buy more stock when they knew the company was sinking, I despise them all.

But, anyway, what do you guys think of this young lady?  Be curious if they ever did a followup on her...

Not a whore: a whore does honest work for an honest wage.  She's a conwoman, grifter, liar, thief, and blackmailer.

They only way her actions would be worse is if she actually tried to get pregnant from one of these guys and brought a life into this world to make a few bucks.  I'm sure that happens to these star athletes.

Wow. Grifting men for abortion money is about the oldest trick in the book and I'm surprised men still fall for it. Ask for a pregnancy test from a reliable doctor at the very least. If more men were sexually responsible, so many schemes would collapse. I don't say that to condemn men, just....I'm shocked so many people, men moreso than women, leave themselves open for blackmail, extortion and a lot else. I have a cousin who learned the hard way what a woman out for money can do to someone's life, but then again he was none too virtuous himself. Maybe someone will finally get that male birth control patch out there and even the field a little, lol. Still, this smart businesswoman (she is that in her own repulsive way) is a low down con who strikes me as particularly gross and what she's doing is pret-ty dang low. She'll get hers one of these days, but there are plenty of others like her waiting to fill the void.

I have no patience with adultery, but this woman is pure evil.  Someday she will face justice, in this life or afterward . . . .

Yeah, blackmail and extortion are hardly anything new.  Getting on a radio show and publicly admitting to multiple felonies is kind of novel though.  Considering she's a whore with a big mouth and a highly questionable level of intelligence, well, I think it's pretty obvious how things are going to end up for her.

It occurred to me later that this woman might simply be making the whole story up for a shot at publicity. It's happened before.

Back in the '90's there was a young woman named Irma P. Sanders, and Ms. Sanders wrote a column for one of my home town's alt-weeklies called "News From The Stalls" and in this column she reviewed restrooms in local clubs and bars and the like. (No, I'm not kidding.) Well, the inventive, attention-loving Irma P.  contacted the producers of The Montel Williams Show, and luridly claimed she was the mistress of some of the most high-ranking and powerful mob bosses in America. The producers instantly swallowed her story and jumped at having her on the show.

Irma, with her flair for the dramatic, agreed to come on but said her life would be in danger were she recognized, so she insisted on wearing a mask while on-air. Donning a dollar-store Mardi Gras style disguise, Ms. Sanders got on TV and spun an outrageous tale of sex, drugs, guns, murder and power in the East Coast underworld---and Montel ate it up with a spoon! It was only after the program aired that she wrote an expose in her little alternative newspaper about how easy it was to trick the media and get on television with a bogus story. My thought was maybe this blackmailing tartette is this decade's version of Irma Sanders. Shrug. Who knows.

Well,

I'm not sure being a whore or a con artist and a smart business woman are mutually exclusive. I'm not saying it's right, I'm saying that's the direction a big part of our culture seems to be moving in. There is a real quick/easy buck mentality going on out there. A lot of people want to get rich quick, and not in the good way:

"You can't cheat an honest man."

You know, I personally, don't full agree with that saying.  I mean, I can understand where like, I'm being dishonest and trying to cheat someone who that leads me open to being cheated, for example, I'm at a store looking at a flat screen TV, guy comes up and says, "Hey, I can get you the same thing for only $500!"  We go outside, we shows me a flat screen TV box, I pay him the money, go home and find it's just got a wood board in it to give the needed weight to fool, well, then yeah, my trying to cheat the store, the market, whatever, lead to me being cheated.

But how does such a saying when, for example, a guy walks up to me, says, "Hey, man, can you help me out?  I'm kind of down on my luck, haven't had anything to eat all day.." I give him five dollars for a meal, but it turns out he's a fraud, and deliberately dresses in raggy clothes and goes around looking pathetic but actually makes a decent living begging people for spare cash.

So, how is the guy who gave the man money being "dishonest" in that sense?  I mean, he still got cheated.  Granted, I suppose you could argue he didn't because he's "buying" the sense of satisfaction that he helped another person, but....

Anyway, just a thought.
