This was posted by someone on another bad movie board.

I'm not sure of the title at all, I'm not sure of the cast.

I can remember the following:

Aired on KVVU Ch. 5 in Las Vegas, NV, in July of 1985 as the afternoon movie.

The movie itself could've been made between 1965 to 1985. I don't know.

Somebody who looks like Gene Wilder (but isn't) is a monk at an all-silent monastery. I remember this because before the monks start eating, the main character of the story, the main monk, holds a sign up for them to read then they start eating. Since I was 5 when this film was aired, I couldn't read the sign. While they're eating, the monk does something and somehow the wall swivels around or something and he ends up outside the monastery, which is like on a mountain-side or something. I vaguely recall him rolling down the hill and ending up in the city.

In this city is a bearded man who drives a bus with a church steeple on top of the front of the bus. I remember the monk befriends the bearded man, and that rest of the movie is nothing but chases and comedy. However, I don't remember anything specific within the middle of the movie. There is a church-bus chase at the end of the movie, with the monk holding onto dear life while the bearded man drives like Posh Spice in Spiceworld, only worse! Finally, after being chased by what seems like everybody, the church-bus goes off of a ramp and splashes down into a lake. I don't remember what the bearded man says, but it was funny at the time.

The movie ends with all of the new friends that the monk made during his adventure taking him back to the bottom of the mountain of his monastery. I don't remember if he says anything at this time.

Well that's all I remember of the movie. If anybody could help me find the title, it would be appreciated. Thanks, then.

If you can help, thanks.
