Okay, all I remember is that this takes place on a church grounds, however underneath this church and its surrounding cemtery is a group of people/cannibals living off the flesh of humans, and I guess the dead. I can't squeeze out anymore info, so happy hunting. Perhaps questions may help. So ask away.

If it's not that try BLEEDERS.

Long shot - "Nightbreed" from circa 1990.

It could be "Lurking Fear" from Full Moon Productions. Here is the IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110410/

BLEEDERS would be my guess too.

Based on the inclusion of the church, my first guess would be the same as Jordan: Full Moon's version of "The Lurking Fear."  If not, then Bleeders is another good one.

By the way, "The Lurking Fear" is just awful.  How does a movie so utterly waste Jeffrey Combs?

If you think Jeffrey was wasted in that one Andrew, then I suggest you watch "Return to House on Haunted Hill." Combs reprises his ghostly role from the previous film but still gets the shaft after all is said and done. What a travesty!  Bluesad

Bleeders does not seem correct, because it came out in 1997, so I was 20. I believe I saw this much earlier. Please help me keep digging or I guess I can buy bleeders, and then let you ghouls know. Thanks

If it's not The Lurking Fear, which seems like a strong possibility for a match, then try The People Under the Stairs as a possibility.

Perhaps Demons 3 AKA The Church.

No, it's not the Church. No cannibals/monsters underground - just occult shenanigans.

I think the movie you're looking for is Dark Heritage (1990)
