It's been another busy week at
The Tomb of Anubis! I guess October just brings out the best of the worst in us.
Tuesday - Nix would rather slip bamboo chutes under his fingernails than have to sit through the pointless and horribly done "art" movie
Mutilation Man again. In a burnt out future world (with penises a plenty) a guy injures himself for the amusement of others. Not as much fun as it sounds.
Wednesday - Anubis coincidentally takes in a terrible indy "art" movie of his own in a world where zombies are more an inconvenience than a menace, the remnants of humanity are all crazy, and a woman has sex with a handgun... which we actually see because, well,
Shatter Dead is an "art" movie after all.
Friday - In celebration of Halloween,
DarkSider's Realm put together "B-Movie Extermination": a roundtable celebrating the creepy crawlers of the bad movie world. As our part in the tricks and treats, Anubis gave zombie Sigmund Freud something to pine over with
Calamity of Snakes, Ragnarok reviewed a Fly sequel that has no flies in
Curse of the Fly, and Nix shook the eight-legged menaces off his sleeve with William Shatner in
Kingdom of the Spiders!
Saturday - Anubis celebrated Halloween by seeing Bruce Campbell's latest triple-threat performance as The Chin directs, produces, and stars in
My Name Is Bruce, playing an Ash Williams-ish version of himself as he does battle with an ancient Chinese deity who has a hankerin' for decapitating hicks in Oregon!
