Dead Teacher Found In Ky. High School

SOMERSET, Ky. (AP) – Police say they have found a teacher dead inside the Pulaski County High School over the holiday break.

Somerset police were called to the school at 6:25 p.m. on Friday night where they found 32-year-old Scott McAninch dead in a northeast hallway of the school.

County Coroner Richard New said an autopsy was performed Saturday morning in Frankfort and the results show apparent natural causes.

Family members were trying to reach McAninch throughout the day and his car was found parked next to the high school late in the afternoon. The school was closed on Friday for Thanksgiving break.

According to his biography on the school's Web site, McAninch was an English teacher at the school for the past eight years.
