This is supposed to be an almost definitive list of hardasses. Whether you like 'em or not not, put your badasses here. Here goes:
Clint Eastwood
Toshiro Mifune
Charles Bronson
Lee Van Cleef
Pam Grier
Sonny Chiba
Fred Williamson
Samuel Jackson
Bruce Campbell
Tony Jaa
Bruce Lee
Roddy Piper
Jerry Reed
Sylvester Stallone (argue with me if you want to)
David Carradine
Eli Wallach
Jimmy Wang Yu
probably Kurt Russell
and maybe Jason Statham
I know a lot of people who'd kick the crap out of me for not mentioning John Wayne.
There are more. That's just of the top of my head. Are some of mine not badass enough? Did I get 'em right on? Some I forgot? What do you guys think?

If Kane Hodder qualifies, wouldn't Gunnar Hansen also be included? Cheers

I like the Die Hard movies, so I'd include Bruce Willis...

Possibly Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Indiana Jones. Definitely Franco Nero in his spaghetti westerns.

My apologies if you consider yourself a badass but I left you off.  Wink

I might add Warren Oates, but he's sort of an existential badass.
