Isn't The Rock the one where at the end, a guy has a bunch of nerve agent rammed down his throat, only to suffer no ill effects after giving himself atrophine (sp?) shots? If so, I did get a laugh out of the absurdity of that: a dozen or so containers of CNG were supposed to be enough to wipe out a city, and a guy drinks basically a whole container and that magic shot saves him, and seems to have reversed the damage.

Don't remember the end. I remember the opening. Nicholas Cage is at work and suddenly has to deal with defusing a bomb. With only seconds to spare! And he can't see because there's something (acid? water?) spraying everywhere! And other terrible things are going on (aliens? earthquake? elephant stampede? I don't recall). I saw that and said to myself, OK, if they do that in the first 30 seconds this movie is just going to be about ridiculous over-the-top action scenes. They aren't even going to try to have a plot or anything sensible.

My suspicions were confirmed by the pointless flying-over-San-Francisco-hills car chase in the middle of the movie.

And that's pretty much all I remember.

I've also never seen Pretty Woman, An Officer and a Gentleman and I only got halfway through Rocky V.

You know it's bad when a movie franchise is so forgettable you have to ask:

Which one was Rocky V?

Rocky V is the one where Rocky finds out that not only is he in such poor health that one more fight would damn near kill him, he finds out his accountant and attorney squandered all his money so he's damn near poor.  He moves back to his old neighborhood in Philly, and begins training Tommy Gunn, who then basically turns on him.  Pretty poor movie.

All I remember about the last Rocky flick I saw in a theatre was how tediously boring it was.  I think Rocky was trying to get back together with his GF (?) or she was dead or his old trainer was dead and he was all depressed or something. I do remember that I couldn't get out of the theatre fast enough.

That was probably part V.  Mickey (trainer) dies in 3.  In Part 5, Rocky was already married and was going through physical problems.  It was pretty boring.

Rocky Balboa was released last year, and Adrian was dead.  But Rocky was in his like, '60s, and owns a restaurant and has one last exhibition.  I never saw it, but heard good things.

CheezeFlixz,

I feel the same way about BORAT and that JACKASS franchise.

Seriously who willingly pays to watch this crap?

I have to admit I liked the Jackass movies. It's one of those deals where you either have that juvenile sense of humor, or you don't, no middle ground. I do have that juvenile sense of humor.

Jackass was a fun series/franchise.  Not for everyone though.

My name is Allhallowsday and I have seen TITANIC, more than once, and find it entertaining in a mesmerizing kind of way... and it's also enormously stupid, absolutely ridiculous, breathtakingly implausible... but never boring.  I can't imagine anyone claiming to like BAD MOVIES not wanting to check that one out.   Wink

I've never seen Notting Hill, Critters 2, National Velvet, The Princess Diaries 2, Cars (the film, obviously. Not the vehicles), Little Women

I can't remember the others....
It'll come back to me.
