I have a vague memory of a bad movie I saw on TV a long while back.  It seemed like some sort of Predator rip-off with what I think were soldiers, and they were being attacked by monsters (or just one.)  I thought the movie was called "Elves", but the review on this site proves me wrong.  I thought it was some sort of magical creatures, like an Elf or Gnome, but I can't recall. 

The ending, I believe, had something similar to Predator's, with a helicopter escape, but one of the monsters got on-board as well.

Any bells ringing here?

It looks like JJ80 got it right, however.  Wikipedia confirmed the ending for me.  Now to hunt this stinker down...
