Fla. police close books on '81 Walsh killing
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A serial killer who died more than a decade ago is the person who decapitated the 6-year-old son of "America's Most Wanted" host John Walsh in 1981, police in Florida said Tuesday. The announcement brought to a close a case that has vexed the Walsh family for more than two decades, launched the television show about the nation's most notorious criminals and inspired changes in how authorities search for missing children...

Otis O'Toole was also the one- time partner in murder with the infamous Henrey Lee Lucas...on which the films HENREY-PORTRAIT of a SERIAL KILLER and CONFESSIONS of a SERIAL KILLER were based on.

I remember John Walsh talking to a studio audience a few years back ~ there was one idiot in the audience who said that he kept memorabilia  Question from serial killers. Once of those was Otis Toole, Adam Walsh's killer.

I don't know how Mr Walsh restrained himself from knocking that guy on his ass when he found out what his hobby was, but he did tell the man what Toole did to his son.

That crap is weird, I saw an auction site that specialized in auctioning junk from prisoners, of course the worse the crime, the greater the demand for their junk. It was letters, eyeglasses, pictures, all kinds of just plain crap that some morbid people want to keep like some kind of sick treasure. The reason we lock people like that up is because they don't fit into society, selling their crap makes them think they're celebrities.

The one good thing about this long horrifying story is closure for the Walsh family.

When, among other crazy things is back before changes were brought about (in no small part to the Walsh family), police would actually wait TWENTY-FOUR hours before they'd investigate a missing child case, presumably so they would waste time if the child wasn't actually missing.

The seems almost incomprehensible to me.  They've since learned then that the first twenty four hours are THE most important in the chances or recovering a missing child.
