Finally picked up three classics on DVD that I had wanted for a long time:

Citizen Kane
Sunset Blvd
Touch of Evil

Those are the three that jump to mind.

The Innocents.
Any film that can scare you before the opening credits is a winner in my book.

.the RED HOUSE-With Edward J. Robinson and Rory Calhoun. Weird mysteryfilm...at times almost a horror film. Creepy!
.MESA of LOST WOMEN-Yes...I like this alot! Weird spider women,a giant spide (kinda looks like the one in MISSLE to the MOON),a looney mo-mo with a gun,...and Jackie (Uncle Fester) Coogan! And one of the spider chicks does a cool, sexy dance...(slobber drooldrip!)  Twirling
.The GREAT ST.LOUIS BANK ROBBERY (1959) With Steve McQueen! This was made right after he appeared in the BLOB! Wow. From Shlock to a Great heist film!!!
.the WILD RIDE (1960) with a very young Jack Nicholson!!! And he's a real scumbag too! A teen-age punk with a fast car...and no morals.

Trailer for the WILD RIDE!!!

Alfred Hitchcock's LIFEBOAT.
You just watched LIFEBOAT?  Wasn't that a treat?  Did you spot HITCHCOCK's cameo...?

REV, I just watched HORRORS OF SPIDER ISLAND for the first time this year, too!   TeddyR  BELA had recommended it to me, so I bought it.  Loved it's sheer stupidity!

I bought LA DOLCE VITA this year, and watched it for the first time in a very long time.  I will say, this time I understood it.   Bluesad

Wild Strawberries and Beauty And The Beast (1948) on DVD. Two classics from two master directors. I had only seen these two gems on the computer before. But, as this was my first year ever to have the internet, I celebrated with a Netflix account with all the bells and whistles. I LOVE NETFLIX!!! There are so many marvels on the site that every time I change my queue, I actually do a little dance; a rousing mix of the hand jive and the robot, FYI. For the people who don't have one yet and love classic movies, get an account ASAP.

I was going to respond what a great year you had... BUT, I NOW SEE AFTER A QUICK CHECK THAT THE LITTLE FUGITIVE is the title of a film I've been looking for for about 10 years!!!  I just ordered it off of Amazon.  I LOVE you!!!   Thumbup

First viewing:
Curse of the Demon - pretty good horror movie.
City of the Dead - very good movie with Christopher Lee in a small role.
IT!  The terror From Beyond Space - fair movie, probably the original Alien movie.  Not too exciting though.
Invasion of the Star Creatures - Ooh, stinky stinky pooh pooh!  Space babes were pretty hot though.

Re-watched:
The Flesh Eaters - like this one a lot.
The Monster the Changed the World - always a fun one.

Got a few more I recorded at Halloween I haven't watched yet, all the "House of..." and "Son/Daughter/Wife of..."  Frankenstein, Dracula, etc.

Um, you're welcome?  I saw Little Fugitive a relatively long time ago, but I didn't know what it was called at the time, and I wondered about it for a long time.  Sometime later, maybe a couple years ago, now, I spotted a DVD of it at a local library branch.  A sense of recognition clicked and I had to see it.  It's such a simple film, but I love it for that reason.

For those who haven't seen it, it's about a little bo who's tricked into thinking that he's shot and killed his older brother.  He gets scared and runs away to Coney Island.  The viewer is essentially watching a kid roam around Coney Island doing whatever, but I love its atmosphere (I usually like anything involving carnivals and such) and its natural quality.
