HELP ME IDENTIFY THIS MOVIE

i've only seen this short clip from this film, but it looks awesome.

here's what happens:

an old man and two kids are watching kermit on the tv when the doorbell rings. the old man says he'll get it and goes to the door, when he opens it, there is a group of aliens/monsters wearing soviet union type clothes with automatic weapons. as the aliens/monsters come in the house, some 80's dance-ish music comes on and they shoot all the people in the house. the last part of the scene is of the aliens/monsters slitting a mans throat.

please help.

Still, it sounds like the dream sequence from "American Werewolf In London."  Especially the throat slashing and machine guns.
