A guy in New Bedford, Massachusetts thought it would be a good idea to remove some snow and ice from his back porch - with a blow torch.  Instead he started his house on fire and caused about $30,000 in damages.

Gee.  What an idiot.

New Bedford is actually a half hour from me and we probably got around the same amount of snow and ice. I used conventional methods like a shovel.
