This is sort of a strange proposition:  a 50's style paranoid  "body snatchers"  "Them!"  type thing done in the late 60's.  and man is it ever paranoid.   NO ONE can EVER  be trusted,  there is not the slightest bit of comedy relief or Bond style shenanagins with the ladies.  We don't even know what the heck the Invaders want,  it's just focus in on the paranoia like it was a drug and dig in.   It does work on some level, but at the same time you can see why it isn't very famous as it's generally more representitive of  an earlier (or even a later "3 days of the condor"  "parallax view") era than it's own.  Twilight zone-esque in places.  done by the guy who did "The Fugitive" show.  There were 4 episodes on the disk i got but at 45 minutes each two were plenty.

I remember that I loved this show as a kid, but I can't remember too much about it. I remember that when an invader died, their body would glow red and then disappear. In fact, that might have been the only way you could be sure.

Seems to me there was only one guy, the hero, who knew that an invasion was going on. So it was sort of him against the rest of society. A lot like "The Fugitive".

Everytime those freakin aliens died they would disintigrate in a cloud of red smoke and left their ashes behind

A great show. Loads of suspense with a hero on the run from aliens no one believes him about. It is very much like "The Fugitive" and it was likely a big influence on "The X-Files" too.

I loved this show when I was a little kid (or so my mother tells me).  I don't remember anything specific about it, though.

It was great to see Roy Thinnes (who played David Vincent in The Invaders) pop as Jeremiah Smith in several X Files episodes.  Smile
