It's been a little quiet around the Tomb of Anubis the last few weeks, what with the Cthulhumas season and all, so we haven't really bothered to update you folks about our goings-on. Here's a quick recap of the last 3 weeks:

Ragnarok threw down a trio of feature reviews. First, a military made Lovecraftian horror threatens to swallow the world if a high school Bio teacher and a woman who gets off being slathered in someone else's blood don't stop it first in Oganizm. After that, it's academic hi-jinx and  the living dead in the no-budget horror comedy Reanimator Academy.

Anubis put in four more entries for his "52 Weeks" project as 2009 grows ever closer. Due to circumstances beyond his control, the order of things has been dropped in favor of outright chaos, starting with Chow Yun Fat teaching Seann William Scott how to walk on air and beat up Nazis in Bulletproof Monk. Next, religion and low budgets clash as an atheist cop has to figure out how to sneak past killer cyborg archangels and get through the pearly gates in Dark Heaven, followed by Casper Van Dien, Tom Bosley, and Robert Wagner trying to prevent Armageddon by stopping a giant fallen angel mummy from destroying the Earth in The Fallen Ones. Finishing out the stew is a painfully bland Charles Band production starring Sid Haig and Michael Berryman as mobster ghosts trying to claim a blood debt in the needlessly long-titled Dead Man's Hand: Casino of the Damned.

As much as we hate the term, expect a return to some normalcy this week, as Ragnarok already has one feature review waiting to be posted, and Anubis is still insisting that he can finish up this "52 Weeks" thing within the allotted 52 weeks. Even if he doesn't succeed, it should be interesting to see how he finishes out this lofty little train wreck!

Earth is visited by a GIANT ANTIMATTER SPACE BUZZARD! Gawk at the amazingly bad bird puppet, or chuckle over the silly dialog. This is one of the greatest b-movies ever made.
