Hi, I'm looking for a movie revolving around a guy in a sorta 'rambo' like quest, you know, him trying to find a way out and beat the bad guys. The movie is either from the late eighties or early nineties.

If I recall correctly, the movie takes place mainly in a swamp/marsh area, a little resembling of a jungle, because there are a lot of river bends which later lend themselves for boat chases and the like.

The guy's girlfriend/ damsel in distress get's captured along with the hero, and then they get separated; if I'm not wrong, they use these nets or net traps to capture them by surprise. The bad guys (rednecks?) make it a point to tell the main guy that they will 'take good care' of his girlfriend. Later on the main guy I think manages to escape and the thing becomes that he has to save the girl.

Hint scene: I remember one scene where the girl is being kept hostage inside this barn kinda place, and one of the bad guys goes there to taunt her, and grabs her from behind and gives her funbags a good squeeze; this bad guy has a sister or a wife who is not there in the barn but in their house, and is not pleased with her husband (?) wanting to go play with the hostage.

I know it is not "Forced to Kill."

It could be Deadly Prey (1988)

"Avenging Force" (1986) is worth a look, but the damsel in distress is the hero's younger sister.  I'm not certain about the barn scene being in that at all.  The threat to the girl's virtue is.

It might be "Pink Cadillac" starring Clint Eastwood.  There is a scene much like that with the woman being threatened with rape, and the antagonists are a group of rednecks.

I got to thinking.  Some scenes in Ted V. Mikels' masterpiece "War Cat" are like that.

Does that have the girlfriend angle?  It has been too long since I saw this film, but I do not remember that part at all.

Had a thought.  Could this be one of the "Snake Eater" films?

Well, it certainly isn't DELIVERANCE.  Those red necks weren't interested in women . . .

This sounds a bit like Snakeeater with lorenzo llamas. It has swamp rednecks kidnaping a girl via a net trap
and it has a ton of traps and gimmicks.
