Though no specific examples come to mind DS, I've always been a fan of the various boss musics from the Final Fantasy games and most anything from the Legend of Zelda games. The overworld tune from Zelda II comes immediately to mind.

LORDS OF THUNDER  (for the Turbo Graphix 16 CD attachment)

If you're into squealing guitars and loud metal, than the soundtrack for this legendary shooter will make you happy.

Oh definitely. Often overlooked in the pantheon of classic NES tunes. Good one DS. Looking forward to the new Wii game this year!  TeddyR

I'll second Chrono Trigger, Castlevania: SotN (the only game soundtrack I've bought on CD at this point) and Donkey Kong Country.  DKC2 had a lot of good music, too.

Tetris Attack actually had some cool music:

Sould Blade/Soul Edge had great music.  The PSOne release had cool arranged soundtrack options, and the Khan Super Session versions were really great:

Dammit, I haven't played this game or heard the music in years.  I'm gonna have to buy a copy on eBay.
