Wow thanks for posting this.  I never realized that was Hackman under all that fuzz.  What a great movie.  I'd give you Karma if I knew how.

I can't remember whether it was Gene Hackman or Michael Caine I heard say this, but they've had similar careers so maybe they've both said similar things. When asked about the huge number of movies he'd been in, even though so many of them were crappy, he said "I'm an actor. I like to work." I've always admired that.

So when I see Hackman (or Caine) in anything, even crap, I think of him as enjoying himself, as getting the job done, and of turning out a decent piece of work that often shines above the material. It always helps me enjoy the movie more.

I hadn't realized he was that old; seems like he's looked the same for years.

One of my favorite actors; certainly a natural when it comes to acting and can lift even the most mundane movie just by his appearance in it.
