Take a moment to vote for your favorite guitar body style.

I picked up Guitar Hero Aerosmith the other day.
I'd read some bad reviews for it but the local video game place had it marked down to $60.  And they also had Guitar Hero World Tour for $50.
Normally, a Guitar Hero game with the wireless guitar runs around $100, but I got both of those games for $115.  A pretty good deal!  And it came with the cool red Aerosmith Les Paul guitar.
It's actually a pretty good game.

There's a ton of guitars to choose from in both games.
Some people like certain guitar body shapes over others.
Here are some to choose from.  I didn't include all styles because that could go on forever.   Instead, I chose some models that most of us are familiar with.

Gibson SG

Fender Stratocaster

B.C. Rich Warlock

Gibson PRS

Fender Telecaster

B.C. Rich Mockingbird

Gibson Les Paul

Gibson ES-335

Gibson Explorer

Personally, I love the Flying V.   Thumbup
It's been my favorite guitar style ever since I went to Megadeth and saw Dave Mustaine shred on one.
It was awesome!

(I didn't take this pic)

What about you?
Got a favorite guitar body style?

I don't give a rat's ass about "plastic button hero" guitars, but I have to say when it comes to the real thing, the Gibson Les Paul is king. I've played alot of guitars and own alot of albums and you just can't beat that rich bluesy tone, plugging a Les Paul into a Marshall stack. Listen to any Y&T album to see why.

I do really dig the flying V for shape and design though. I've always wanted one ever since I got into Michael Schenker.
I myself, play an Ibanez that has a bloodsplattered design and I used to own one of George Lynch's tiger-striped ESP guitars, but I never really liked the feel of it.  Smile

I don't play six-string, I play bass, but I love that classic Stratocaster style.

I've had a Torino red Fender Stratocaster since the mid '80s, and it's always been my favorite.  Run through a good distortion pedal you get a very nice heavy metal sound, and with a little overdrive the variety of blues sounds are awesome.  As far as looks, it just can't be beat.  For playability though, I'll go with my Ibanez RG series.  24 frets, neck-through-body construction, really low action;  just  a dream to play.
