I must admit.  I really disappointed in most of their choices.  I'll tell you the winners and my personal thoughts on them.

Worst Screenplay

The Love Guru

Really?  Are you saying that had a worst story than Disaster Movie or In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale?  Seriously?

Worst Director

Uwe Boll

Well I actually, this seems like a good choice.  Especially since he won Worst Career Achievement award.

Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off, or Sequel

Indiana Jones and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

I can't believe they are serious!  I mean, look at the other choices!  Disaster Movie, Meet the Spartans, Star Wars: Clone Wars, and The Day the Earth Stood Still!  I can't believe it!  It wasn't the best film in the world but it certainly didn't deserve the award.

Worst Screen Couple

Paris Hilton and either Christine Lakin or Joel David Moore (The Hottie and the Nottie)

I don't have anything really to say about this.  I never seen their performance so I can't say if they deserve it or not.

Worst Supporting Actor

Pierce Brosnan (Mamma Mia!)

I looked at all the nominations and I swear they deserve them more than Pierce.

Worst Supporting Actress

Paris Hilton (Repo: The Genetic Opera)

I don't know about this one.  Carmen Electra seemed to have this one in the bag for Disaster Movie and Meet the Spartans.

Worst Actress

Paris Hilton (The Hottie and the Nottie)

Well, I can agree with this one.  As long as they didn't pick Jessica Alba or Cameron Diaz, I was fine.

Worst Actor

Mike Myers (The Love Guru)

He was a pretty much a shoe-in considering all the others nominated.  The only one that might have taken the award would have been Larry the Cable Guy.

Worst Picture

The Love Guru

HA!  Yeah right!  What a joke.  How could this movie win it when Disaster Movie, Meet the Spartans, The Hottie and the Nottie, and In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale are so much better qualified.  Ugh.

Anyways, what's your thoughts on the winners?  Did you like who won or do think they picked the wrong films to win?

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

Well maybe it's not entirely worthy, but maybe the dubious honor at least took the filmmakers down a notch :P

I've actually heard fairly good things about Paris in Repo, makes me think they voted her on principal, you know, because everyone must hate paris >.>

Again, it may have been due to the fact that they just wanted to make fun of Myers because he's popular, rather than Seltzer & Freedberg because they deserve it :P .

I think the Razzies going towards Love Guru and Indiana Jones weren't based solely on the caliber of their crappiness, but also the standard to which people expected the movies to live up to (Crystal Skull following in the footsteps of the excellent trilogy) and probably Love Guru's ability to not only be deemed as crap like the two parody movies, but also offensive for basing it around a stereotype character, and a major disappointment for coming from Mike Myers whom everybody expects better of. The parody movies you already know will consume mass quantities of feces these days, so putting them up for Razzie nominations is expected but giving them the actual awards would be too easy. As for Paris Hilton, I never see anything as a knock against her just to bring her down for being rich and popular. She's genuinely untalented, listening to her speak makes my brain cry tears of blood, and her face... well, I won't say that I want to smash it in with a frozen leg of lamb, cuz I know some of us on here are sensitive to comments of violence against women, so I'll respect that and trust that I've made my point on Paris.
