Some of these aren't even available on DVD

Midnight Hour (goes for about $130 used on Amazon)
Blue Monkey
Snowbeast
Monster Shark
Blood Beach
Shakma (typically goes anywhere from $70-$100 for a used DVD; besides that, the availability on this movie seems very wonky.  I've been wanting to get a copy of this for a good while, and it seems like none of the online stores ever have any in stock, though it's not listed as being "out of print.")

Attack of the Beast Creatures

SNOWBEAST is also on at least 2 of the Mill Creek 50 movie packs.

A couple on my "wish there were DVDs" list:

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark
Killdozer

Don't be Afraid of the Dark is one of the best TV horror movies.

I have the Killdozer comic book from Marvel Comics.

Ohhh, God! I too know the horrors of looking for The Midnight Hour! (Lucky once I got a crummy bootleg, I realized it wasn't as good as some said!)

And Shakma? HA!!! You lazy, greedy-ass DVD-producing bastards! You make about, what? 25 copies of Shakma only 2 years ago and I got like the first one! I feel for you, Joe, but I managed to kick the "OOP" system there!

Quatermass and the Pit - $85 for a used DVD at Amazon, $28 for used VHS.
The Keep
Rawhead Rex - $65 for a used DVD

I think you probably know this but Quatermass and the Pit is also known as Five Million Years to Earth, and is readily available.

They may be referring to the BBC 3 hour version.

Yeah, there's the TV show from 1958 and the movie from 1967.  I was talking about the movie.  I see there is a Canadian release of the DVD available on Ebay for a much more reasonable price.  Hmmm, sounds like the movie, might have to give it a try.

Not a movie, but Boris Karloff's Thriller! series is notoriously MIA on DVD. A few episodes were released on VHS by Universal, but if you want the complete set of this excellent horror series on DVD you have to enter the Gray Market Zone.

Same thing for The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. This series was really more than just an hour-long version of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, it tended to lean much more toward pure horror rather than mystery. It also had many original scores by Bernard Herrmann,  who even rearranged the theme for a massive bassoon ensemble.  Smile

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark...
There are a few other Made-for-TV films that are great, but not as great as DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK and those are available... terrific sad thriller JIM HUTTON and WILLIAM DEMAREST (not to mention KIM DARBY  Lookingup).  Very fondly remembered.

A film I wish they would release on DVD is Jaws of Satan (originally titled King Cobra). Sure you can find a DVD named King Cobra on Amazon but it's a different film. The only thing Amazon has listed is used VHS of the film for about $60.

I would love an original VHS of Black Devil Doll From Hell. I saw a rare theatre screening of the Chester Novell Turner masterpiece and now will do pretty much anything to get my hands on it. It's so raw, so skanky, so deviant that to own would be to covet, and to covet anything is a sign of pleasure.
