Well at least they didn't give her a young girl living with her who would be her sidekick Robyn. Give em enough time however. At least this time there won't be any in the closet jokes about a person in a batsuit.

Nope, she's a well-to-do high society girl who used to date DC's current Question and former Gotham PD detective, Renee Montoya. Barbara Gordon was Batgirl, but that ended when the Joker shot her in the spine and put her into a wheelchair for the rest of her life. This Batwoman debuted a few years ago during DC's experimental weekly comic series "52", named so because it ran for exactly one year.
