What I want more than anything is for Bill Hammel to find and post the Masoleum segment wherein we had "guest star Sonny Bono" on the show -- actually one of those Ken-doll-like Sonny Bono dolls -- & put the doll's head on a giant rubber fly & did the whole "helllppp mmeeeee!! . . . helllppp mmeeeeee!!" business ala "The Fly".  I don't even remember what movie we did that for, but I don't think it could have been "The Fly" as we only ever showed films in Public Domain.

Oh!
I forgot to say "Thankyou very much" to Andrew for posting this!!  Very very happy you thought this was worth putting on the board --
And for invoking such fond memories --
I had a wonderful time on both HOMEMOVIES and its spin-off,  "Movie Maesoleum", and I wish we were still doing episodes --
One of the best times of my life -- Such goofy fun every Saturday night --
Ah, me . . .

When I saw the thread on the contents of the forum,it reads 'Peter Johnson as God-'....!!! Thought you got a part in a remake of the TEN COMMANDMENTS or something....but this is better.

I enjoyed the bit where "Dr Bates" showed the pictures with the roared responses. I like Godzilla related humour!

I'm guessing that that one was at the very end of the run, right around 1992 or so --
We wanted to do more, but the station was angry at us for various reasons, not the least of which was that we had allowed a local punk band to come into the studios & wreak havoc -- the band was Baldo Rex --
After that, we weren't welcome --

The writing was always a group effort, though some things we did, like the "Squid Beer" commercial, which Hammel hasn't put up on YouTube yet, were 100% mine --

Yeah, we really cared about our stuff & nixed a lot of material that we didn't think were up to "standard" -- this could sometimes lead to some hurt feelings & loud exits -- just like being in a band!!
