Does anyone reckon they could compile a list of their 10 favourite films to be released since 2000? I post mine later when I've had a think, but I'd be interested to see some other lists cause there's bound to be some great films from this decade I've missed out on seeing, in fact I'm sure there are loads. So fire away, if you think you can pick ten films worth seeing since 2000....(they can be good or 'bad' type of good Smile)

Picking just ten will be tough, but I'll give it a try:

2000 Battle Royale
2000 Ginger Snaps
2001 Ghost World
2002 Insomnia
2003 Kill Bill 1
2003 Azumi
2004 Dawn of the Dead
2005 Hard Candy
2006 Idiocracy
2007 Grindhouse

And that's not including two Batman movies and three Lord of the Rings movies, all of which I like.

1.the DEVIL'S REJECTS-I know there's a lot of dislike for this film on this forum...but I LOVE it. A great cast,good music....and truly horrifiying. It's a HORROR movie.
2.SLITHER- I agree with Dogget...this is a good ol' fashioned monster movie that reminds me of the old 1950's films. No overly serious torture crap like SAW or HOSTEL...just a good popcorn flik!
3.KILL BILL 1+2-I know it's self indulgent on Tarintino's part. But it's got lotsa cool actors and lotsa action.
3.MONSTER-The story of serial killer Aileen Wuornos. Watch it.
4.INCIDENT AT LOCH NESS-Is it a documentary? Mockumentary? Director Werner Herzog and a team of filmakers go in search of the Loch Ness monster.
5.this is really difficult! I...I can't think of no mo'!

A few off the top of my head, not in order:

PAN'S LABYRINTH (2006)
LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY (2001-2003) (cheating, I know)
WALTZ WITH BASHIR (2008)
DONNIE DARKO (2001)
BORAT (2006)
KUNG FU HUSTLE (2004)
I'M A CYBORG, BUT THAT'S OK (2006)
THE DARK KNIGHT (2008)
MYSTIC RIVER (2004)
13 TZAMETI (2005)

Honorable mentions: BEYOND RE-ANIMATOR (2003), BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF (2001), OLDBOY (2005), FIDO (2006), SILENT HILL (2006 - guilty pleasure), SHADOW OF THE VAMPIRE (2000), MINORITY REPORT (2002), O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU? (2000), THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES (2002)

I'm probably forgetting quite a few, but this will do.

In no particular order:

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003, with Jessica Biel)
The Mummy Returns
Jason X
Starship Troopers 2 - Hero of the Federation
Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers
Shapeshifter (2005)
Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008, the one with Greg Evigan and Dedee Pfeiffer)
Exorcist:  The Beginning
The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007)
Venom (2005)

I'll probably change my mind about half of those by tomorrow  TeddyR
