Nehi! When I was a little kid...they used to sell this stuff in the trailer park near 3 Mile Lake. There was one of those old pop machines where you put in a dime and a nickel, and you could grab the neck of the soda bottle and yank it out. It was an old machine, and my brother Mike used to grab a neck, and I would grab a neck....and with his right hand he would drop in 15 cents. We would both yank at the same time...and get two pops for the price of one!

It was good pop. They had flavors like Black Cherry, Grape, Cola,Lemon Lime,...lotsa them!

When I was a kid, my grandfther and 2 sets of aunts and uncles lived in a 3 family home in Everett, Massachusetts.  They had cases of soda (in real glass bottles with the top you needed to open with a bottle opener!) delivered to the house every week.  The soda company was called "Pelco" and I remember they had quite a few different flavors - - cola, ginger ale, grape, orange, lemon lime, root beer, etc.  One of the quirky things about Pelco was it seemed that at least one bottle in every case had a chip or crack in the glass.  In those days, no one really cared or worried about it.  Today, the company would get sued hundreds of times . . .

not to divert into the political arena,  but soda today is not what is used to be because it's made with corn syrup instead of sugar.  If you go to mexico or really any other country you can get real coke and I'm told it's superior.

I can't say how they are now but about 20 years ago when I was in Mexico, all the sfot drinks tasted rather flat. It seemed they had little to no carbonation at all.

I've had Coke in other countries and one thing that definitely makes it better is you can frequently get it in real glass bottles (unlike the U.S. where the vast majority of the Coke you find is in plastic bottles or cans).

If you mean American brand names, yes most were. If you mean bottled in the US and imported into Mexico,  then the answer is no. They were bottled in Mexico. I was in Cancun but was going into a lot of places where locals went. Even went to the grocery store/market a few times. The only thing that made the colas I got down there bearable was a slcie of lime and a shot of rum in it.
