I saw this made for TV horror movie. It wasn't very long, maybe an hour or an hour and a half long. Came on ABC or CBS,famous lead actor and it came on early to mid 2000's

This family(father, mother, daughter and son) visits this desert town in Arizona or Nevada that has been deserted for years. Upon investigating the town, the son discovers a camcorder left by other people. The camcorder is relatively new and still works, the family plays the camcorder and you can see the owners of the camcorder filming themselves in that room. The son of the family, also discovers some writing or warning on the wall or on a door.

A later scene shows the father and son discovering a stock pile of cars in the desert that have been dismantled by someone. The cars appear to be from other decades.
The father discovers their SUV with the battery removed, he finds the battery, puts it back in the SUV and the family drives out of the desert town. That night they stay at a hotel.
Following day, father tries to warn the local authorities in the neighboring town about the mysterious town and the stockpile of cars in the desert. Sheriff doesn't seem to be worried or concerned. That night, family leaves town and drives home on the desert highway; through a creatures eyes, the camera is SPEEDING through the desert and then nails the family's SUV.
Next scene, end of the movie, shows the family sitting on outside furniture not moving, acting as new citizens of the neighboring town.
