"Charlie,we're in HELL!"-"yeah,ain't it groovy?!"

WWW
« on: April 14, 2009, 06:11:34 PM »

I was looking at my post count...and noticed I just passed 5000! Dang. That's a lot of yakkin',considering I've only been on the board since June of 1996. Tara Sue bought a computer...and I had no idea how to use one....but I naturally started looking up horror movie sites. I joined one called MONSTERS AMONG US (registered under Spike the Chongo)but it crashed, one called In the Balcony...which focused on real obscure 1940's films  a guy I saw on the PSYCHOTRONIC mail site -Laughing Gravy-ran it,I think...and the BMMB through Stomp Tokyo,....but no one ever talked to me...and I found Andrews site about the same time...it had CLIPS! ( I didn't even know about youtube! I was real green.) Then I started to post...I think my first one was in response to a 'What was that film?"...it was the old 1930's CHILD BRIDE.

Just curious...when did you join? Do you belong to other forums?  Question

I joined this forum back in 2000.
It was in the middle of summer and was reading Andrew's reviews when I noticed this forum.
Been posting here ever since.  Hard to believe that was almost 10 years ago!   Buggedout

I've been here since my family got a computer I imagine, in about 2001. One of the first forums I've known of. :P

For quite a while I couldn't post thanks to guests not being able to, just lurking... Then I registered back in 2006 (Around the same time RC did I believe, one of my first memories is of him calling me a 13-year old Bruce-Willis fanboy X) ) and been pretty regular.

Geez, don't turn this into something big... Bluesad I was talking about getting my b-film info from the Internet, and mentioned how I thought Nosferatu was boring. You didn't know me as well at the time and figured I was a littler kid than I was, and I believe you said "What, if something doesn't have Bruce Willis or exploding cars it's boring?" something to that ring :P . You were just standing your ground on older movies, I got where you were coming from then and I still do

I'm pretty sure Trekgeezer, Peter Johnson and AndyC were around then.
I used the Wayback machine (archive.org) to look at some of the old forum pages.
Some other people who I was surprised were on back then were Lester 1/2, Flangepart, Scott and Mofo Rising.

Here's one of the old forum pages.

I first found the site and forum in the summer of 2004. I lurked for a few months and then registered, but made very, very few posts until late 2006 or so. Since then I've been sporadic.

I had actually been checking out reviews on this site for a bit longer than that.  Favorite site on the net.

I joined on June 12, 2007, and I already have over 1800 posts!

This is the only movie forum I belong to - I mean, when you find the best first, why go elsewhere?

I do belong to four separate Indian Artifact Forums, though!

The porno bigfoot movie is THE GEEK (at least that's the only porno bigfoot movie I know about) but I'm not sure that photo's from that film.

Could it be from NIGHT OF THE DEMON?

RC gave me my very first 'karma' (and instantly became my very first buddy here) because, naturally, I got it right.  TeddyR

I would have sworn my first post was about CANE TOADS, the movie that first drew me here long, long ago.
