Saw it back in '86 several times - loved it, especially the production design.  One of my gripes is (and nothing against Savini), Leatherface's look isn't that great in this one.

HELP! WE ARE STUCK IN A GOOD MOVIE!!!

« Reply #16 on: January 12, 2013, 04:39:53 PM »

For the most part this movie is good.  There is a lot of "WTF" moments.  The two parts that I like the best was the time when Dennis Hopper buys and tries the chainsaws and the shop owner looks like he is going to have and "O".  The other part was at the end where the dasmal in distress takes the chainsaw from mama and then kills the son and swings the chainsaw around.  I would give it a  Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup out of  Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup Thumbup.

Later,

John

I'm no hero, never was. I'm just an old killer.

It was ok. I didn't expect much, but I thought it was decent-mediocre. I honestly wouldn't mind watching it again, but a lot of the stuff made no sense.

I like it and yes, I am a Chop Top fan. Considering other movies that came out around the same time, I am not at all surprised that they went with a comedy.

I mean c'mon, it's better than 3 and 4.
