I can t remember a horror movie [year like 1996-2001 i think]

Hy! I am looking for a movie i couldn t see when i was like 10 years old because i was very scared at that age xD i still can remember the begining, not complete but there it goes:

The movie starts with a woman and a child hidden in a tree, and the woman says to the boy to come out and to not hide, but the child doesn t want to go out from the tree and after like 2 minutes of "come one, get out", he finally goes out of the tree making a very scary sound and face, and suddently the woman and child wakes up, because the previous scene was only in the child s mind, the woman entered his mind with some sort of equipment and tried to resolve some of the child s brain problems or something like that (could it be a disease i don t know for sure)

Later, the woman capable of entering human mind trough that special equipment, is taken to a room where she sees a video tape that shows another women trapped somewhere in a tank full of water but she manages to survive because she has air for some hours. And the man trapping here in the tank is taken by the police and the police asks this lady to enter his mind with that special equipment. So the woman decides to do it.

She enteres the "killer" 's mind (dunno if he was a killer, but he surely was crazy, trapping that girl in a tank full of water) and she comes to a place, a sort of house i think. She discoveres there a horse. The horse doesn t move at all, she looks at it from a distance, and when she approaches, the horse suddently is divided into 4 pieces by some glass walls and this walls move, making the horse's parts be very visible (i mean organs and all that stuff). And the woman then analizes the dead horse (his remains) and suddently 2 big muscle feminine legs start to aproach our woman. And at the point where the big muscle woman's face is visible.. well here i shut down my tv.. because i was s**tting my pants xD

so pleas if you have any idea of this movie, please don t hesitate to answer.
NOTE: i saw this movie like 8-10 years ago... not sure.
