I actually enjoyed "Curse of the Komodo", but the idea of the "rehashes" was kind of silly. But apparently, Komodo vs. Cobra wasn't the final nail in the coffin. It seems there's this-

The trailer:

Small | Large

okay...

- I can see location stock footage from Curse of the Komodo

- The explosions are re-used, tough actually they might have been from another movie to begin with

- Kind of unrelated, but is that "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah" stock footage near the start?

- The footage of that dragon grabbing that one guy with its mouth even seems eerily familiar.

- There sure is a lot of footage of people standing around firing guns at the monster.

- It's stated the characters are shipwrecked. As such they end up on the beach. This is a huge variation from Komodo vs. Cobra, in which the characters willingly traveled to the beach

- As the trailer presents it, it looks a lot like people (a civilian group and a military faction) end up on an island, encounter a monster a bunch of times and eventually the military decides to blow the crap out of the island with no intention of saving the people on it. I remember seeing that twice recently... can't imagine where though...

After checking IMDb, Jim Wynorski dosn't seem to be connected with this film at all.

If you're familiar with a 3d animation program called Poser, The "Reptisaurus" is a 3d model available for about twenty dollars from Daz3d.com call "Wyvern 2".

Ha,Ha,ha,   They didn't even really create their own monster.  Now, I'm waiting for the movie starring nothing but Sims and avatars.

At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...
