WHAT?  NOWFF 12 - NOWFF AMERICAN STYLE

WHEN? June 8th, 2002

WHERE? The Benjamin  Franklin  High School Auditorium  in New Orleans, LA

Greetings, badmovieites, it is I, The Foywonder, long-time lurker, first-time poster, here to inform "all you people of the Earth" (Thanks, Zigra!) about the 12th annual New Orleans Worst Film Festival. From noon to midnight, you will experience 12 hours of deep hurting.

What is NOWFF, you ask? Well...NOWFF is basically a 12 hour non-stop marathon of awfulness. While we're having fun experiencing cinematic TOR-TURE, we also raise food and money for the Second Harvester's Food Bank of New Orleans. The net proceeds of all N.O.W.F.F. activities are donated to support Second Harvester's Food Bank. Admission to NOWFF is only $7 and we ask that you please bring a small bag on non-perishable food items that will donate to the food bank. Snacks are available for purchase, door prizes can be won, and every patron gets a program & a barf bag filled with goodies.

In keeping with the recent wave of patriotism, this year's NOWFF theme will be NOWFF AMERICAN STYLE. Every movie this year will somehow fit into that theme and believe me, we're going to be stretching the premise like a Stretch Armstrong doll! Unfortunately, things have fallen a bit behind schedule this year so the final line-up hasn't been set as of yet, but is very close to being finalized. Expect the final official line-up to be announced and posted any day now and knowing what the full slate of films being considered are, this year's festival is going to be a winner! To give you a taste of things to come, here's one film that has made the final cut - THE X FROM OUTER SPACE!

So, mark June 8th on the calender, pack up you loved ones and trek on down to cajun country to join the fun! And don't forget to head over to www.nowff.com for further details & directions and to check out my (CHEAP PLUG ALERT) bad movie column. This month, WILFORD BRIMLEY ON STEROIDS, a  retrospective of Hulk Hogan's cinematic trail of tears.

JUNE 8TH - NOWFF XII - HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE

Earth is visited by a GIANT ANTIMATTER SPACE BUZZARD! Gawk at the amazingly bad bird puppet, or chuckle over the silly dialog. This is one of the greatest b-movies ever made.
