Another one for you guys. I would guess late 70's. I dont remember much but there was a small town and a guy with a truck that he "builds up" to go get revenge or.... find someone... i think it was a grey/black pick up. possibly an old chevy. Thanks again, Ill post more if i remember more.

Sounds like EYE OF THE TIGER (1986)

In this clip-you can see the souped up truck starting at 1:31

Thanks for trying but Im pretty sure thats not it... I am pretty sure it is older then that. the truck is similair, but I remember plating on it an he was chasing another car. I think there may have been a harpoon gun of some sort on the back...

It's 1986's The Gladiator.
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0091121/
Abel Ferrara made this. From an epinions review: "He fixes up his truck a bit and goes out and tries to get on with his life. However, when a bunch of neds cause him and his truck grief, it pushes him over the edge, and he customises his truck to have a harpoon launcher, and nicknaming himself ‘The Gladiator’ (after Jeff’s footy team) he sets off to bring an end to bad drivers, and hopefully catch the Death Car driver. Naturally this garners the attention of the police, who think he is a mad vigilante, but will he catch the Death Car or will the police catch him? The answer lies in the ‘thrilling’ climax of this movie. "
