Yeah, I liked Sandra Bullock earlier on. She was good in Speed and in Demolition Man, and I thought she was pretty hot. Then, I don't know what happened. Somewhere along the line, everything she did started to suck.

I don't hate the guy. I just find him sort of likeable in everything he's been in so far. If anything, I'll start hating him for appearing in so much crap.

I just looked at Shia's filmography and I've only seen one thing he was in.  He has been in a lot of absolute crap that I'd never go near.  But the IMDB had a link to an article with a quote from him that makes me admire his honesty a bit:

"I don't even really know what it is I do for a living - the level of insecurity is very, very high. You're making a lot of money, getting a lot of accolades and positive criticism for something where you don't even know what you're doing. There's no business-model for this. You can't go home and say, 'You did your job today,' because I don't know what my job is!"

I don't know if I'd label something "absolute crap" if I hadn't seen it, thoughI realize that TRANSFORMERS has a kind of cult hate it's so disparaged (and I don't care to look at it, plus I'd bet it's sh!t).  I might react the same way to films like the last INDIANA JONES (didn't see) or TRANSFORMERS (didn't see) as my guess is they're not my cuppa, but there's plenty of films released that I don't bother to look at, though I might be interested.  How do we know these films aren't worthwhile if we haven't seen them?  But, I did see THE BATTLE OF SHAKER HEIGHTS which is how I know She'sa Loinabeef and I quite liked that film.  I agree with Trekgeezer; I don't get the hate.

Just playin' the odds, my friend.  I believe that often we can tell something's crap just from the way it's marketed, and from what we hear from others.  I've never heard the Jonas Brothers sing, yet I'm confident they don't rock.  I've never seen DATE MOVIE, but I feel safe calling it crap.  It's not firsthand knowledge, it's something better: an educated snap judgement that saves me from having to subject myself to purile entertainment.

I thought she did well in Crash. She played the stuck-up yet afraid of the world b***h role pretty well IMO.

He does seem rather bland for a film actor, but I do remember him from the TV show "Even Stevens," which I quite enjoyed; therefore, his talents might be better suited for TV than films.

Shia ruins everything he is in.  He's the male Sandra Bullock.

Hey, at least Speed wasn't that bad. I can't think of a single film where Shia doesn't suck.

I don't know what to say about him. I've heard about his obnoxious character in the Transformers films (Which I've never seen) and I can't judge him with that. I saw him in Indiana Jones And The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull, and thought his acting was just "Meh".

Well, it's a bit sad because he is a "child actor made good."

Shia LeBeouf was momentary entertaining as a child actor. He wasn't bad as a child actor, he was good in some Nickelodeon or Disney Channel garbage. He had the unfortunate task of being thrust into the main actor role in terrible movies, the latest Indiana Jones and whatever Transformer movie is playing these days.

Because the entertainment is nothing if not stupid, they decided to put him in every single big budget movie released in the past few years.

It's impossible to create a movie star, just as it's impossible create a rock star. American Idol is a sham.

The tragedy of Shia LeBeouf is that he doesn't realize that he's a waste of space.

Maybe, maybe he might have been a good actor, but as it stands now he's a punchline. It's sad because he doesn't realize he just a punchline in the Hollywood hype machine. The man who would be king is always a set-up for patheticness.

Please, the only reason people hate this guy is because of four certian movies he has been in.  Indiana Jones IV and the Transformers series.  If he wasn't in those movies, no one would hate this guy and just see him as any other actor.

It's not his fault Transformers sucks.  Michael Bay's adaption just flat out sucks with his fratboy sense of humor, managing to create movies with no plots, pulling the focus away from the real stars [the transformers], and a creating a loud mess with no substance to them.  The acting is bad clear across the board, it just so happens that Shia is the main character, so naturally the movie focuses on him more than the other characters allowing for people to hate him more.

Indiana Jones IV, well that needs no explanation.  People are ticked off that he is Indiana Jones son (frankly, get anyone to play that part and people will be upset), the movie's use of CGI [I could hardly give a damn of a movie uses that], the nuking of a fridge (possibly the most ridicious moment of an extremely ridicious movie franchise), and the aliens (Who cares?  So you are fine with people pulling out each others hearts, the ark of the covent melting nazis, and the holy grail?).  This film is still Indiana Jones and still gives us this classic adventure of going to search for treasure as another evil group tries to seek it out.

Shia has been good in other movies before.  He was great in Holes, Disturbia, Nausicaa, and Surf's Up.  It's just these movies that are giving him a bad rep.

Speaking of people with bad reps, look at Robert Pattinson.  He has some acting talent despite what the Twilight movies show.  Go check him in Harry Potter 4.

I would count Shia LaBeouf among the reasons those movies sucked, but mainly because he was miscast. The guy is not an action hero. If I were choosing somebody to play Henry Jones III, he wouldn't make it onto the list of possibilities. Same with casting Sam/Spike Witwicky. Yes, he should be a regular young guy and not an action hero type, but making him a panicky doofus is going too far, and it's a symptom of what's wrong with the Transformers movies in general. Yes, both characters are unlikely heroes who get thrust into dangerous situations, but they never become credible heroes.

Shia LaBeouf has the makings of a decent character actor. He plays a certain character type very well. He just seems to keep getting misused. If they ever decide to remake The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (and I'm not saying they should), he'd be the first guy I'd think of. But heir apparent to the Indiana Jones franchise? Not a chance.

Just a really bad actor who gives consistently annoying performances, be it Transformers or Wall Street 2. I was indifferent to him in Indiana Jones 4, as I'm fairly indifferent to the Indiana Jones films in general.
Hate is too strong a word, as one can at least say he's not the worst part of Transformers 1, 2 or 3. =D
