DR. STRANGELOVE, a
bad movie?
You wouldn't find many people who would fall into that camp. It's almost universally beloved, considered by many to be the best black comedy ever made. Sellers amazing performance in three roles, some of the most quotable lines of all time ("Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!") After watching another year or two of dumb, predictable comedies, come back to it again. I bet that "strange, offbeat" humor will seem a lot more appealing.
Then again, I am old enough to remember the cold war... maybe younger people just can't put themselves in that mindset anymore and appreciate the tense comedy.
