If you could create a team of crime fighters from any combination of movie or television characters, who would be on your team?  (Let's keep it to a maximum of 5 members so this doesn't get out of hand).

Mine would be:

* SIR MILES MESSERVY ("M" from the James Bond series, as played by Bernard Lee rather than Judi Dench): The leader in charge of briefing the team and handing out assignments.
* FRANK BULLITT (Steve McQueen in BULLITT):  He'd be the expert driver and would be in charge of the car chases.
* AGENT 99 (Barbara Feldon in GET SMART): She's the "voice of reason" and keeps the other team members in line.  Flirtatious, with a good sense of humor.
* ROOSTER COGBURN (John Wayne in TRUE GRIT): The toughest one-eyed fat man in screen history.
* JOHN SHAFT (Richard Roundtree in SHAFT):

Who's the black private dick
That's a sex machine to all the chicks?
(Shaft!)
You're damn right

Who is the man
That would risk his neck for his brother man?
(Shaft!)
Can ya dig it?

Who's the cat that won't cop out
When there's danger all about
(Shaft!)
Right on

You see this cat Shaft is a bad mother--
(Shut your mouth)
But I'm talkin' about Shaft
(Then we can dig it)

He's a complicated man
But no one understands him but his woman
(John Shaft)

Agent John Doggett (The X Files- He's tough and he doesn't scare easy)
Jessica Rabbit (Roger Rabbit- She'll be the sexy one able to seduce the villians)
Dr. Egon Spangler (Ghostbusters- Supersmart, geeky)
DCI Gene Hunt (Life on Mars UK, Ashes to Ashes- he's rock hard !)
Indiana Jones (He's able to think on his feet)

Excellent choice!  Wish I had thought of it.

Mark Loftmore - The cigarette smoking rich-boy "Time Warrior" from the WAXWORK duology! According to Sir Wilfred, God's chosen avatar for his cosmic "video game".

Dr. Anton Phibes - Just because he wanted gruesome revenge doesn't make him a bad guy. Taking time out from his eternity of Earthly joy to be the team's mechanic.

Jennifer Corvino - Beautiful-Carrie Meets Sane-Willard from PHENOMENA. Satisfies the need for a female member, a tracker, an actress, and a direct-fighter.

Alice Johnson - A Nightmare on Elm Street's "Dream Master" and positive gate-guardian, good for calling team meetings by dragging friend into dreams

David McGowan - The "Village of The Damned" inhabitant with a heart, only makes sense he should use his power to protect those earthlings who sheltered him

Wish I could use more, like for backups and stuff :P

OK, I'm feeling a little quirky, and not necessarily trying to follow the mix of the actual A-team.

Emma Peel (Diana Rigg), for brains, beauty, and general personality (AVENGERS TV show)

Angus MacGyver (Richard Dean Anderson), because I can't get enough of the gadgets (MACGYVER TV show)

Casey Ryback (Steven Seagal), all-time best Seagal character from UNDER SIEGE.

John Drake or David Jones (Patrick McGoohan). I can't decide which ruthless McGoohan secret agent I like better, the one from the SECRET AGENT TV show (Drake) or the one from the movie ICE STATION ZEBRA (Jones).

And I think I'll round out the team with Wesley Snipes.

John Cutter (Snipes), for general bad-assness (PASSENGER 57). Although I'm also strongly leaning toward BLADE.

No, there was no requirememnt to tie into the actual A-Team.  I just needed a title for this topics and that's the first thing that came to mind.  (Although, I don't know why.  I have never watched a single episode of the A-Team for more than about 10 minutes).

Because I like this topic and can't leave well enough alone - My "B-Team", the "still good guys" who happen to not play by the rules

Rick Myers - The Puppet Master of parts 4 & 5

Will Spanner - Apparently the horniest warlock alive

Duane & Belial Bradley - The "Times Square Freaks", the latter is a deformed midget with the ferocity to rip someone's face clean off

Carrie White - Survived in the TV remake and decided to mellow out :P

Brigitte Fitzgerald - Reluctant werewolf, haunted by her sister.

I like Silken Floss. The Spirit had so many beautifull women-P'Gell being my personal favorite!

JAMIE SOMMERS - The original Bionic Woman.  she's got the looks and the brawn to get the job done.

JAMES BOND - (preferably Connery). an expert at espionage, useful for infiltrating enemy bases and getting the job done.

PEE WEE HERMAN - The 'Murdoch'. able to confuse the enemy with weirdness and act as a decoy while James Bond and The Bionic Woman see about, erm,  getting the job done.

JESSICA FLETCHER - a super crime-solving granny. wherever she goes, a murder occurs! - that's possibly a downside to her inclusion

MARTY McFLY - the coolest dude in town, and he's got a flippin' flux capacitor at his disposal. awesome
