Latest reviews:

Centipede Horror [1984] Keith Li
"This film is, in a word, infamous.  To understand why one need only take a gander at the extensive list of plot keywords available for it over at the IMDB, where things like "vomit", "cattle mutilation", "gang rape", and "genocide" are some of the more mundane of the lot."

Nightmare Castle [1965] Mario Caiano
". . . plays like a sort of Greatest Hits from star Barbara Steele's past horror work with Mario Bava, Riccardo Freda, and Antonio Margheriti.  The story by Fabio De Agostini and director Mario Caiano never makes much sense, and unravels entirely by the time the living-dead conclusion is reached, but does have a bizarre sadistic edge that lends it a bit of uniqueness in spite of how derivative it is."

Quatermass and the Pit [1967] Roy Ward Baker
"Both of the preceding Hammer Quatermass features had been adapted from earlier teleplays by Kneale, but PIT was the only one to be adapted for cinema by Kneale himself.  The results are nothing short of phenomenal - a remarkable condensation of the much longer teleplay that manages to hit all the right beats while retaining all of its core substance."

For Your Height Only [1981] Eddie Nicart
"Who would have thought that the best way to breath new life into the tired James Bond franchise would be to rip it off hook, line, and sinker, and have a man of immense minuteness play the super-spy lead? "

Centipede Horror sucks balls.  A more accurate title would have been "Old Men Chanting".

I enjoyed it for what it was - a cheap knock-off of the Shaw Brothers black magic films.  It definitely doesn't live up to its ridiculously exaggerated reputation though.
